On 15 September Grade 1-2 went on an excursion to Hive, Ulverstone to race cars, visit the art gallery and the watch the fabulous performance of Possum magic. The students were respectful and kind and were proud representatives of Havenview.

While at the Hive they got to race and modify the cars they had been building in class. The creative designs are wonderful. Students have looked at how their times were different who was fastest and slowest. The Hive also has a gallery and Museum so students worked on their fine drawing skills, and looked at how the ways we communicate today are very different from the past.

Possum Magic was a highlight with the students enjoying the magic of such a wonderful story. The cast even came out at the end and we were able to ask questions about their favourite parts, and how the set was made. It was wonderful to see how the students wanted to know all about the whole process.
