Prep-1 Excursion
On Friday 15 September Prep-1 travelled by bus to visit the Devonport Regional Gallery Creative space and to watch the stage performance of Mem Fox’s picture book Possum Magic.
Bernadette at the gallery organised activities for us that were centred around some of the themes in the book. There was Magic ink painting, drawing an Australian animal using bright colours, making a collage of our own magical food, and drawing a picture of a place that you would go if you were invisible.
We walked across the long bridge to Roundhouse Park for lunch and a play. While we were there, we saw the Spirit of Tasmania docked in the Mersey River.
We walked back to watch the stage performance in the theatre at the Devonport Paranaple Arts Centre. The performance was exciting, surprising, sad, and funny.
