Dream Big
Dream Big
Grade 5/6 left for a fun excursion to different schools like TAS Tafe where we did some STEM work. We were put into teams and made houses out of pool noodles and duck tap we all had different jobs and we all had to work together to keep our house stable while we were building it.
Our goal was to keep our houses up for 15 seconds and everyone completed the challenge.
After that, we went to Hellyer College where we did some art and cooking. The art group had to draw things they liked to do with only a piece of paper and a fine liner. The cooking group made rocky road and truffles and got to eat them as a reward. We found out on our tour of Hellyer college that it’s a very big school and has a lot of interesting things in it.
Then we went to Utas. One group did science and we got to fly drones around and see how they work while the other group did nursing and CPR on dummies. We also got a tour of things and what they do at Utas.
Overall, everybody had a great day out and we had so much fun on our excursion.
