Recently we had a visit from the architect engaged by the Department of Education to re develop some of our school as part of the Contemporary Classroom project. While the planning/costing is still underway I look forward to sharing the details of what improvements these works will make in the near future.

One of the impacts of COVID over the last 2 years was a reduction in the number of people catching influenza. The easing of restrictions unfortunately has seen influenza make a return. A reminder to Parents/Carers that should your child have cold or flu like symptoms they should be tested for COVID and should a positive test be returned notify public health and the school. If a negative test is returned and student is symptomatic, please keep them at home until they have recovered to ensure we can minimize the spread of sickness at our school and the community.

From week 5 our Canteen will switch to operating on Fridays, I would like to thank those parents who have volunteered to help with the canteen for making this possible and encourage any parents who may have some time to volunteer to contact Bek or Jess.

A big thank you also to those parents that volunteer and make soup for staff and students on Tuesdays, Souper Tuesday is very much appreciated by staff and students in the cooler terms.

Breakfast club now operates every morning. If Parents/Carers would like students to utilise breakfast club, we ask that students get to school in plenty of time to have their breakfast before they go to class. The breakfast club will stop serving at 8:50am to try and reduce the disruption of students taking their breakfast to class.

Wednesday 1 June will be our school Cross Country, a separate information sheet will be sent out this week and we ask Parents/Carers wishing to attend to please return the slip to the School Office to ensure we know how many people will be attending.  All spectators are expected to abide by all COVID protocols that are in place.
