Sporting Achievements at Havenview

Elenah Rankin has won the Tasmanian Statewide series of Karting on the 14 August 2022.

Elenah has been involved in Go Karting for two years, in the last twelve months has become competitive. This year she has raced the Tasmanian Statewide series, which is 4 rounds held around the state.  The tracks she has raced on are Smithton, Launceston, Hobart, and Highclere. Elenah has been racing against other children from all over the state.  Elenah has raced consistently over four rounds and on Sunday she started this weekend’s races on top of the leader board.  After the final round at Highclere Elenah was announced the overall winner of the Statewide Series in her category.  Elenah’s next goal is to compete in the Tasmania State Titles which is held in Smithton in November.  This event attracts mainland competitors, and I am sure Elenah will enjoy the challenge for a podium finish.

Congratulations to Zeppelin and Jagger Barnard on making the state under12 Schools Sports Australia Championship Team.  Jagger and Zeppelin are heading off to Canberra to represent the state this week.  They start playing their games on Monday the 22 August and finish on Friday 26 August.  Zeppelin has been named captain of the team.  We as a community wish them well and if you follow School Sports Australia on Facebook you can keep up to date on how they are going.  Goodluck and look forward to hearing how you went.
